Tell us your story.
My wife has been making beaded jewelry for years and one day suggested that I try my hand at something. I saw the five star bangle bracelet design in wireworker magazine and made one which my wife claimed and she has been wearing it every day since. She has received numerous comments about it which have turned into several sales. I especially enjoy making pendants which I often match with the chains my wife makes.

Where do you sell your jewelry? Do you have any tips on selling there?
I have sold most of my items in a gift shop but we are venturing into craft shows which are quite popular where we now live in Tenn.

What's your biggest selling piece and why?
Pendants have been quite popular. These are a few I've made.

What one piece of advice can you give to other aspiring jewelry makers?
Think outside the box. You are only limited by your imagination.

Have you quit your day job yet? Can you give us any idea how much income your jewelry is making?
I am working part time and trying to build my jewelry business so that I can devote more time to it.

What would you say to someone that might be hesitant to invest in Preston's course?
Take the plunge. The amount of investment is small compared to a lot of other things we choose to involve ourselves in.

Has jewelry making changed your life in any way?
It has given me the confidence to know that if I apply myself, the results can turn out to be a beautiful creation that will give someone pleasure for many years to come.

Do you sell any of your work on line or on Ebay? Do you do well there?
I have considered doing that but I feel my work could be lost among the thousands of items for sale in those avenues.

What's your plan for the future?
I plan on making and selling items in my local area where word of mouth will bring a lot of new customers to my door.
