This is all about wire ends needing to be hidden and secured. Of course you must secure them not to be scratchy, and you must hide them for the sake of the design. My advice is to work with as few as possible!
If you are working on a project with a large area to be woven and you need 3ft, maybe 6ft, or why not…12ft of wire… what would you do? We all know it is hard to coil and wrap that length of the wire. Well, while wrapping my projects over the years… I came up with an idea I think you’ll love!
Wrap the length of the wire as a spool, like in this image. Leave a foot or foot and a half of it to wrap with and the rest of it make it a spool on your palm or something round (a spray can for example). Use this spool of wire to weave and coil and you’ll see you can do it easier and faster. And, most important, you won’t have to worry about ending and starting lots of shorter wires.
