However, ball chain does not need to be used to just hang a pendant on. Think about using it in the designing of your jewelry.

Instructions
The best thing about using ball chain as an embellishment is that it is very forgiving. Even when cut a bead too long, it can be compressed shorter as all the beads move back and forth on little wires connecting them.
This feature makes it easy to fit the chain around a bezel. Because the beads are not on a single wire, or flat backed, but are a malleable neck chain, they easily conform to any shape.

Short pieces are always usable as smaller embellishments. There are five beads on the Woodland Fairy Ornament necklace. Six beads could be compressed or four beads stretched out to fit the same space.
When making Bali style bracelets, I ran out of daisy spacers. It was easy to make daisy spacers with ball chain soldered around jump rings.
