Instructions
Step 1
Measure 72 inches of soft wire. Measure and cut another 3 inches of wire for the ornament hanger.

Use the nylon-jaw pliers as needed to straighten wire as you work.

Use the round-nose pliers to make a loose curl on one end.

Step 2
Use your thumb and hands to gently form a large loop. Pass the wire loop through the small end loop.

Step 3
Use your hands to work the wire around each loop changing directions to start to form a ball shape.

Step 4
Continue to work the wire around itself, curving it with your thumbs and hands.

Step 5
When you have made several passes with the wire around the ball, begin to make sure you have gone all around and crossed at many turns.

Step 6
When you have come to the end of your wire, save about 6 inches to make the top loop for the hook to hang.

Step 7
Loop the end of the wire through several cross sections of wire. Make a loop up through the center.

Step 8
Use the round-nose pliers to create a loop, then tuck the end of the wire inside and under the top loop.

Step 9
Use the round-nose pliers to make a simple "S" hook for the ornament. Bend one end of the wire over your finger, bend the other end of the wire in the opposite direction. Hook the wire over the top loop in the ornament.
