Hoops are everywhere, and very much in style. You'll see small simple wire hoops, large and extra- large hoops, embellished hoops and beyond. You can take simple wire hoops to new heights by adding beads or take them up a notch by adding fiber with beads. Or, for my daughter, just leave them plain. I made up a pair of these simple hoops this morning for her and they were a hit.

Grab some wire and tools and make your own, then expand on embellishing them. Using your imagination, they are almost limitless!

Instructions
Step 1
Pro Tip: Wubbers Mandrel Pliers are great for making the hoops, so grab your favorite size and let's go!
No need to measure, I like to work off the spool when making these hoops.
Using the round-nose pliers, make a 3mm eye in the end of the wire, leave the eye slightly open.

Step 2
Secure the wire around the Wubbers Mandrel Pliers. Wrap the wire tightly and trim approximately ΒΌ" past the eye.

Step 3
Remove the hoop from the mandrel pliers, using the round nose pliers, make a 90 degree bend on the plain end of the wire aligning the bend at the far end of the eye as shown.

Step 4
Thread the plain end through the opening left on the eye, then use the tips of the round nose pliers to close the eye completely.

Step 5
Slide the hoop back on the mandrel pliers and grab the wire end with the bent nose pliers. Using the bent nose pliers, bend the wire to secure it against the eye.

Step 6
Slide the hoop back on the mandrel pliers and hold; gently tap the opposite side of the wire with the rawhide hammer to slightly work-harden the hoop and add some spring.

Step 7
Trim the end of the wire to extend approximately 1/8" beyond the eye. Using the wire rounding tool, deburr the wire end.
