Jennifer grew up in Denver but has called Portland, OR her true home for nearly 20 years. She has been an avid fan of crafts and macrame arts since she was a kid. She learned to knit, crochet, and sew from her crafty mother. Jennifer has a BA in Sustainable Enterprise Management and a MA in Organizational Management, loves foraging and camping, attends the Renaissance Festival, and has two older chihuahuas, Chicory and Dewey.
Jennifer started Phoenixx Factor Designs initially as an effort to reduce waste by upcycling discarded fabric to keep them out of landfills, as textiles are one of the most discarded materials next to plastic. She made hats, fingerless gloves, and costume accessories from reclaimed materials. Then, she found wire wrapping at a summer festival in 2012 and has been fascinated by the art form's many possibilities ever since.
Phoenixx Factor Designs joyfully creates fantasy accessories and custom jewelry for every day wear and special occasions.
