I used a bronze focal heart from my metal clay stash I made a couple years ago. Then, I had the most fun making these messy wire wrap "tornado beads" with 20 gauge antique copper wire. These were quick and so versatile; you could easily make and use them for earrings and a bracelet to match. I used 6mm plastic beads but you could use any size or material. I recommend a light weight material if you're making earrings. Glass beads might be too heavy.

Instructions
Step 1
Cut 8.5" length of wire for each 6mm bead you wrap. Make a simple loop at one end of the wire with roughly ½" extra to wrap.

Step 2
Slide bead onto wire and wrap excess wire around wire base.

Step 3
Make a simple loop on the other wire end about 1/8" above the bead top.

Step 4
Wrap wire around entire bead. Make your wrapping as messy or neat as you desire. Make as many beads as you'll need for the length of your necklace. If you plan to connect these beads to one another, remember to attach each one to the last before you wrap the loop closed. I used links of chain in between and was able to open the links to connect to the tornado beads.

Step 5
Connect the tornado beads to textured chain links and attach to your focal.
