Instructions
Step 1
Cut two 4.25" segments of wire and two 2.25" segments of wire.
Step 2
Find the center of one of the 4.25" wires, bend it over your 1/2" dowel forming a "u" shape.
Step 3
Thread three beads on each side of the wire.
Step 4
Slide the beads toward the bent wire center, keeping them away from the bench block. Use the flat end of your chasing hammer to flatten the wire ends enough to keep the beads from sliding off. Repeat for both sides.
Step 5
Make a small loop on one end of a 2.25" piece of wire using round-nose pliers.
Step 6
Use chain- or flat-nose pliers to form a small bend in the wire above the loop as shown in photo.
Step 7
Bend the wire over your .5" dowel, centering the wire so you have a u-shape, see photo for reference.
Step 8
Gently bend the end of the wire outward with chain- or flat-nose pliers as shown in the photo. Use a nylon hammer to gently hammer the ear wire to work harden it.
Step 9
Use a wire rounder tool or sandpaper to smooth wire end.
Step 10
Attach the ear wire to the earrings
Step 11
Repeat all steps for the second earring.
