Lake Minnetonka Wire and Bead Earrings

This project was inspired by my favorite Lake Minnetonka. I used 20-gauge wire for these earrings but you could make them with 18- or 19-gauge if you want stronger earrings. Just make sure your seed beads holes are large enough to fit onto the wire. Once you make your first pair, you'll realize the color pallets are endless. The project is very customizable-make them as short or long as you desire.

Instructions
Step 1
Using a flush cutter, cut two 5" pieces of wire and hammer the ends of each wire to create a paddle. Hammer the wire 3-4 times and then flip the wire over and repeat.

Step 2
Using your finger, gently shape a slight curve in both wires.

Step 3
Load beads onto the wires (I used size 11 Delicas).

Step 4
Using the round-nose pliers, make a bend ¼" above the beads. Smooth out the ends of the wires using the wire rounder making sure there are no sharp edges to irritate your ear lobe.
