The infinity symbol and wire rosettes alternate across this bracelet resulting in a comfortable and meaningful piece of heirloom jewelry. This lesson covers flowing wire patterns, weaving on a curve, and the subtleties of creating a rose from wire.

Special Instructions: Tip: These instructions will create a bracelet approximately 7 ½ inches in length. There are different ways that the bracelet size can be decreased or increased. To make the bracelet larger, increase the oval pattern size. To decrease the size of the bracelet, decrease the size of the oval. Additionally, the size can be affected by the increase or decrease of the number of jump-rings added to the bracelet. If a much greater size is wanted, an additional link can be made.

Instructions
Step 1:
Infinity Link
Make 3 for a bracelet 7 ½ inches

Create a pattern for the Infinity Link
Using a 3/8inch oval pattern, draw two horizontal ovals 4mm apart from each other along a straight line. These ovals will become the guide for the negative space within the link.

Step 2:
Make the Infinity Link Frame
Cut 23cm of 16-gauge wire and create a 2mm inside-dimension loop at one end with round-nose pliers. Mark the pliers with a permanent marker so that the other three loops can be made the same size. The loop should be approximately 2mm inside-dimension. Leaving the round-nose pliers in the loop, arch the wire slightly to start the shape of the pattern.
Place the loop just below the line on the diagram and create an "S" shape along the diagram as shown. Using chain-nose pliers, pivot the wire around the tip of the pliers to create an oval loop, make sure to follow the diagram. If the wire is held about 2 inches from the pliers, it can be arched more fluidly than if the wire is held close to the pliers.
Create a second "S" pattern that will overlap the first "S" pattern and bring the wire under the loop.
Arch the wire under the intersecting "S" patterned wires so that it falls in-between the 4mm gap in the diagram. Allow the side-by-side arched wires to gap about a millimeter.

Step 3:
Weaving the Infinity Link Frame
Cut 70cm of 28-gauge wire (weaving wire) and leave an 11cm tail, to later attach a 3mm bead. Coil once onto the outer frame. Next, wrap the weaving wire around both arched 16-gauge wires. Continue this weave to the point of the intersection of the "S" .
Flip the frame and weave upside down and continue the weave to the other half of the "S".
Do not cut the excess 28-gauge wire, as it will be used to attach the 3mm bead. Using round-nose pliers at the same marked location as the first loop, create a second loop just to the left of the top of the loop with the loop starting outward and the wire ending up arching around the top of the infinity.

Step 4:
Completing the Infinity Frame
Following the previous "S" wave, bring the 16-gauge wire to the opposite side of the infinity.
Make a third loop the same size as the other two loops, from the 16-gauge wire, so that the loop curves outward and the wire end arches towards the first loop made.
Flip the infinity to the back and make another "S" wave following the "S" wave of the weave.
Make a fourth loop the same size at the other three loops. This loop will arch inward and around and the remaining tail of the 16-gauge wire. Cut so that the loop end faces downward.

Step 5:
Attaching Beads to the Ends of the Infinity Link
Using the 28-gauge wire tails on either end of the link, insert a 3mm bead and attach it to the link's loops with a secured wrap on both ends.

Step 6:
Creating the Rose
Cut 45cm of 20-gauge round wire and insert one 4mm bead to the center of the wire. Swirl the left side of the wire counter-clockwise and the right side of the wire clockwise around the bead, allowing a small amount of space between where the wire overlaps.
Swirl the left and right wires around the bead 2 full turns in opposite directions to create the center of the rose. Overlap the wire on top of the other swirled wires for a more authentic rose petal.
Continue to swirl the left and right side of the wires concentrically, occasionally overlapping the wires. Stop swirling when the wire rose is about 13 millimeters wide. The wire ends should be the same length. Do not cut the wire ends yet.

Step 7:
Making the Four Rose Link Loops
Using the tip of the round-nose pliers, make a loop with the left wire that has an internal dimension of 2mm, just as was done in the Infinity link. The loop is made by wrapping the wire around the pliers and bringing the wire behind the loop and towards the right wire.
Now you will create the second loop the same manner as the first loop but bring the wire end towards the first loop.
Wrap the right wire around the base of the left loop one time, bringing the wire end away from both loops. Wrap the left wire around the base of the right loop one time, bringing that wire end away from both loops.
Bring the wires down and along the side of the rose link and make the same two loops on the opposite side and cut the remaining wire.
Adjust the loops outward or inward with your pliers, so that the loops of the rose links are the same distance as the infinity link loops.

Step 8:
Assembling the Bracelet
Before assembling the bracelet, use progressive sandpaper/sanding sponge to buff out any tool marks to the wire. Open one jump ring and put two closed jump-rings onto the open jump ring. Hook the open jump ring onto the right loop of the circle/eye clasp and close the jump ring. Open another jump ring and hook that ring onto the two closed loops and the right loop of an Infinity Link and close the ring.
The connection should be aligned.
Connect the toggle/hook-end of the clasp the same manner as the eye/loop clasp. All the other links are connected using a single jumpring to connect alternating Rose and Infinity Links.
If any of the links are misaligned, use the chain-nose pliers to move them left or right.
For a gunmetal or antiqued appearance in the metal, patina with liver of sulfur.
