Guitar Pick Pendant

Cut the 20 gauge wire in half. Take the 26 gauge weaving wire and wrap one end around one of the 20 gauge base wires, about 3 inches from the end of the base wire. Cut off small tail end of the weaving wire (the 26 gauge wire) once wrapped.

Position the pick in the center of the weave, the weave should be on the side of the pick away from you, and about 2/3 of the way up the pick from the point.

Fold the beginning end of the weave around the side of the pick at an angle up to the center of the wide end of the pick. Repeat with the other end of the weave. Add more weaving if the weave is too short, or take out weave patterns if too long. Bend the angles on the front of the guitar pick into an attractive curves.

Slip the guitar pick out of the weave. Wrap the weaving wire around the two center wires twice. Bend the outside two wires off to the side to get them out of the way for now. Wrap the weaving wire around one of the two middle wires three times. Wrap around both wires twice again

Wrap the weaving wire around the base wire you wrapped three times 12 more times. Bend the other center base wire out from the middle, slip a bead on it and bend it back parallel to the one being wrapped, making a little space for the bead with the wires ending up right next to each other again. Wrap the weaving wire around both base wires twice, then around one three times, then around both twice.

Repeat step 6 two more times till there are three beads in this weave. Then start doing a three two weave till the weave is about 1 ¼ inches long.

Bend this weave to the front of the pendent slightly then take it around the 2nd largest step on a 6 step bail making pliers or bend around a 7mm mandrel.
This is forming the bail for the pendant.

Bend the bail back out a little and continue the three two weave for about another ½ inch till it is long enough to touch the cross weave on the back of the guitar pick.

Slip the guitar pick back into the weave.bBend the bail back into shape and measure the weave to make sure it is the right length. Cut the weaving wire and smooth the end with pliers.

Bend the weave going around the back of the pick up toward the wide end of the pick a little bit in the center of it. Take the ends of the wires making the bail and thread them under the weave going across the back of the pick, from the bottom (pointed end of the pick) to the top (wide end of the pick). The weave on the wires from the bail will go over the top of the weave going around the back of the pick.

Carefully pull the bail wires tight without mangling the back weave they are going under.

Cut the bail wires close to the weave they go under and use chain or flat nose pliers to crimp the end around the weave.

Flip to the front side. Take the last 2 base wires and cross them over in the front; take the left on to the right side and the right one to the left side. Bend the wires to follow the weave on the front to the sides of the pick. Choose a wire and start wrapping what is left of the weaving wire around the wire chosen. Coil the weaving wire around the base wire till you are past where the two free wires cross in the center of the front of the pick.

Once you're past where the two wires being worked with cross, slip a bead onto the wire being coiled around. Make sure the bead is pressed against the coil then take the weaving wire to the other side of the bead and wrap it around the wire 5 more times.

Slip another bead on the wire being wrapped. Snug it up to the wrapped wire and take the weaving wire to the other side of the bead and wrap the base wire 5 more times. Add another bead. After the 3rd bead, wrap the base wire 10 to 15 times more. Cut off the weaving wire and smooth with pliers. Wrap both wires around to the back side of the pick.

On the back side of the pick, take the wires and wrap them around the weave going across the back of the pick going from the top to the bottom of the pick.
