Instructions
Step 1
The words Calling Birds bring to mind the beautiful music birds make, especially during the spring mating season.  Since I was in the middle of a metal clay project, I made two small discs and added some music notes and dots to them. It would be so easy to add a music note charm to a disc or hang the two together-no soldering. The disc could be stamped with music related designs.

Step 2
Some of the first versions of the Twelve Days of Christmas featured four colly birds. Colly was a regional word in England meaning coal-black. I pulled four 8mm faceted onyx beads from my stash and hung them from two different length chains-1" and ¾".   Black feathers are many times slightly iridescent so hematite beads or even AB finished black crystal beads would work well.
