Step 1
Cut 3 base wires of the 18ga (1 mm) wire, with the length of 12 inches (30 cm), each.

Step 2
Cut a 12 inches (30 cm) long weaving wire of the 26ga (0.4 mm) wire. Bend it in half, as shown here.

Step 3
Hold the 3 base wires together, making sure
that the ends of them are aligned.
Position the bent center of the weaving wire
around the center of the base wires.

Take the right end of the weaving wire, wrap it
3 times around the center of the base wires,
as tight as you can.

Take both ends of the lower base wire, bend
them completely downwards, as shown here.

Close to the woven part, pressure these 2
wire ends with the flat nose pliers, moving
them closer, until they cross over each other.

Now move these 2 wire ends close to each other, making them parallel.

Step 8
Take the left end of the weaving wire, wrap it
around both wire ends until you arrive at the
end of it.

Turn the wire structure from the left side to
the right side, so the recently woven base
wires are pointed upwards.

weaving steps on this other side as well, as

Position the wire structure in front of you (the
woven base wire ends must stay in vertical
position).

Position your cabochon over the wire structure,
making sure that the woven parts stay hidden
behind the stone. The horizontal wire ends must
stay close to the center of the stone.

Hold the stone tight between your fingers and the
wire structure, then bend the 2 lower base wire
ends completely upwards, bending them tightly
over the stone.

Now bend these 2 wire ends to the sides, then
backwards, positioning them above the
horizontal wires near the stone.

lower base wire around the horizontal wire
end, as tight as you can.

Now bend these 2 wire ends to the opposite
directions, in a way that they cross over each
other at the top of the cabochon.

At the point where these wires cross over each
other, hold them one by one with the flat nose
pliers, then bend them upwards,making them
parallel.

Cut a 12 inch (30 cm) long weaving wire of the
26ga (0.4 mm) wire. Position the initial end of the
weaving wire behind these 2 recently bent base wires,
then wrap it 10 times around both wires.

Switch to left side view. Bend these 2 base
wire ends close to the recently woven part, as
shown with the arrow.

Now wrap the weaving wire 10 times around all the 4 base wires, as tight as you can.

Take the horizontal base wire on the right side,
bend it completely to the left side direction,
then bend it upwards,as shown here.

Wrap the weaving wire 5 times around all the 6 base wire ends, to connect them.

Now wrap it 5 times around the 4 inner base
wire ends, then cut off the extra end of your
weaving wire (behind the base wires).

We will start to make the decorative swirls with the
wire ends. Take the outer base wire on the left side
(it is a longer wire end), bend it to the right side
direction, making a curve with it.
