Creating a link chain starts with so many possibilities. Long, extra-long, short, add a clasp. Fashion a matching bracelet if you just can't stop making the links.

The circle link design includes various colors and sizes of wire, as well as 4mm beads in faceted glass, and round onyx styles.

This necklace measures 26 inches. 30 cut pieces of wire are needed for this length.

Instructions
Step 1
I used a 1/2 inch diameter wood dowel for a mandrel to create the links for the chain. I also used an assortment of 30 green glass beads and black onyx beads for each link in the chain.

Cut assorted colors of wire into a total of 30 pieces, 3 inches long each.

Step 9
Close the loop around the link. Continue to add each link to the chain until you have the desired length.

If you make a long chain, you will not need a clasp. Simply close the last loop to the first link on the chain.

If you make a shorter necklace, add jump rings to each end of the necklace then add a clasp.
