Instructions
Step 1
Place the dapping block on a leather bag. Place the copper washer in the corresponding hole in the dapping block.
Step 2
Place the corresponding punch on top of the copper washer.
Step 3
Use the hammer to strike the top of the punch several times, until the washer is domed as you like.
Step 4
To form a tassel, cut a 36" - 48" piece of turquoise leather lace and fold in half to double it up. Wrap the doubled-up leather around four fingers on one hand three complete times.
Step 5
Remove the leather from your fingers and you should have six loops.
Step 6
Hold the top of the loops in one hand, and use scissors with your other hand to cut the bottom of the loops. String the hammered copper washer to the center of the loops.
Step 7
Use about 4" of wire to wrap tightly around the leather, just below the copper washer.
Step 8
Trim the ends of the tassel so they are about the same length, leaving some slightly longer for a fringe look.
Step 9
Use the hole-punch pliers to punch a hole in the top of the washer.
Step 10
Use 3" of wire to form a wrapped loop that attaches to the hole in the top of the washer. String the druzy and form a wrapped loop.
Step 11
Use 2" of wire to form a wrapped loop that attaches to the previous wrapped loop; string 1 bead and form a wrapped loop.
Step 12
Continue stringing beads and attaching them to one another using wrapped loops.
Step 13
Form a second beaded strand to match the first.
Step 14
Attach a jump ring at the end of each beaded strand.
Step 15
Determine how long you'd like the necklace to be and then cut a length of salmon/coral-colored leather accordingly. Keep in mind that you will double up the length of leather. String one of the jump rings to the center of the leather and fold the leather. Use about 4" of wire to wrap around the leather just above the jump ring in order to secure it.
Step 16
Use the two tails of leather to string the remaining jump ring and fold the leather ends over, leaving about a 1" tail. Use wire to secure the leather ends as before, and trim leather ends if necessary.
