Color Inspiration - Wooden Flowers

So many festivals, fairs, and outings - each season brings its own flavor. This past summer I attended an annual lavender festival on a lavender farm in Ohio. One of the vendors at the festival sold flowers that made me take a second look.
What are they made of, I asked myself. Wood was the answer! Meticulously, uniquely cut, dyed and assembled, these flower stalks were coming home with me.

I made my flower arrangement using both natural dried roses, evergreen branches, then the blue, and yellow flowers that are handmade with a lightweight wood.

Blue coral fossil beads, and a light wooden focal point bead make pretty bangle bracelets.

I used 18-gauge gunmetal color round wire to thread the blue fossil beads through. Forming a loop at either end, I then simply attached a small jump ring to finish one design.

One bracelet has the ease, and structure of a round bangle, simply slipping it on over the hand. One has the structure of a bangle with the ease of a clasp.
