Color Inspiration - Venice Turquoise

I saw some spectacular images on social media recently taken during the famous Venice Carnival in Venice, Italy this year. This carnival started in the eleventh century and became extremely popular during the eighteenth century. It goes on for 2 weeks and I'd love to attend some day!

This color inspiration was used to create the jewelry-making pattern: Venice Turquoise Earrings
The costumes look breathtaking and certainly are inspirational! This one in particular caught my eye, with the beautiful blues and the lovely aristocrats holding a silver ball.

I thought a simple silver and turquoise creation would be the perfect combo for this project. You can add texture using a texture hammer like I did in the sample piece or skip it for a smoother finish. I used 18-gauge wire so it would hold the structure with no problem so no need to work harden it.

But I always love to add a bit of textured interest to any wire piece if possible. You could also patina the piece once finished for a completely different look.
