Color Inspiration - The Wave

Inspired by this magnificent image of The Wave located in the Coyote Buttes North area of the Utah/Arizona border, I knew the color pallet would be a delight to work with. The Wave is the premier photographic destination in the US Southwest.
Only 64 people per day are allowed in the area 48 permits are granted three months in advance, and 16 are given one day before.

Demand far exceeds supply, especially during the busiest months of April, May, September, and October.

During these months, about 300 people compete for the 16 daily permits.

Reaching The Wave requires a six-mile round-trip hike with no marked trail-definitely a challenge!

I used large 20mm Fire Agate round beads for this project, but you can use any large beads or even different shapes.

I chose round beads because they're easiest to work with and teach.

To complement the vintage, rusty palette, I added a splash of blue crystals and tiny seed beads for contrast and pop.

The wire spirals mimic the earth's strata, adding a natural touch.

This project is fun and versatile you can use the same technique to attach multiple beads for a necklace or bracelet.
