Color Inspiration - Rye Grass

My bracelet this week is as much about design inspiration as it is color inspiration. Rye grass changes color during the season - first a light green, then changing to a golden hue. Growing in the shade, it looks like a braid to me.
I styled a still life with Dad's old hat and some light green tones of rye grass growing in the yard. The design of the rye grass is similar in nature to that of the hat trim. I chose these craft wire colors looking at the subtle colors in the rye.

My cuff bracelets are made of 20-gauge round craft wire. Braided with nine pieces of wire, three to a strand, they can be made in contrasting colors of wire. It's a great way to use different wire colors together, and can be made into many sizes. Just add more or less wire when measuring, and fitting the braid. End caps are made individually. They are glued to the cuff ends.
