Color Inspiration - Morning Walk in the Woods

I've always loved fairies and nymphs! Living in some of the most beautiful places in our country, I've had the opportunity to take many stunning pictures of my nature walks. And every time I hope to run into a fairy or nymph because I would surely live there if I were one!
Nymphs were female spirits of the natural world, minor goddesses of the forests, rivers, springs, meadows, mountains and seas. They were the crafters of nature's wild beauty, from the growing of trees, flowers and shrubs, to the nurture of wild animals and birds, and the formation of grottos, springs, brooks and wetlands. How mystical!

Well, sad to say I've yet to see one but still have hope! In the meantime, I use many of my pictures as inspiration for my jewelry creations and this beauty was a walk in Georgetown, CO on a pretty spring morning. One of my fave color pallets is olive green/copper and gun metal. These earrings are the perfect combo!

For these amazingly easy to make earrings, I used 2 different sizes and colors of chain to reflect the copper/goldish flecks in the Venetian glass beads. Initially, the first earring I made I used only the gunmetal color chain and it needed a bit more pop. When I added the copper chain, it rocked, so I suggest altering the chains for a deeper color pallet effect. You could also use 4 different chain colors for a real splash!
