Color Inspiration - Flamingo Colors

Though we're not able to travel someplace warm this year to soak up sun and scenery, we will make do with second best and spend a day at the Denver Zoo.

Since my childhood, I've been enamored with flamingos above all other wildlife, so we're sure to make that our first stop at the zoo. There's just something intriguing about their exotic colors and unusual shape and stance. I could watch them for hours as they peck around the water with their long beaks, or nap lazily on one leg.

Once I selected this image and palette, I knew right away that I wanted to use these distinctive pink wire beads from my stash. I paired them with a favorite ceramic focal and a handful of glass and resin beads, and, voila! A fun, colorful necklace to spice up my spring wardrobe.
