Color Inspiration - Dog Dayz of Summer

The "dog days of summer" is a phrase used to describe the hot and humid days of summer. It's traced back thousands of years to the days of the Roman Empire referring to July 3rd through August 11th. This is 20 days prior and 20 days after the star Sirius (also referred to as dog star and is the brightest star in the night sky) rises and falls in conjunction with the sun.

I took this picture of my rescue dogs, Sparkle and Twinkle sunbathing in their stroller this summer. They are definitely the brightest stars in my sky and never fail to entertain all those around! I loved the color pallet of this image (besides the models), and thought it would make a fun, colorful bracelet screaming summer fun sherbet flavors!
