Color Inspiration - Count on Me

As creators and makers, we see the world differently than other folks. At least that's a conclusion I've come to and my humble 2 cents! Part of our joy as an artist is experiencing other artwork that inspires and moves us. Perhaps, exposure to other art shifts our viewpoint or aesthetic

This was my experience when viewing Cave Creek sculpture artist, Ryan McCallister's work. He created this masterpiece called Count On Me and it blew me away so I decided to use it as a Color Inspiration for a jewelry piece.

I loved the color pallet for this inspiration and created a resin focal using glitter, crystals and a butterfly charm symbolizing transformation.

Making the beaded chain was my fave part! I incorporated Apple Jasper rondelles, crystals and chain to accent the focal piece. This beaded chain is a perfect project for using expensive semi-precious beads or crystals because it only uses a few of them. And they're spaced out with bits of chain to give an added texture pop!
