Valentine's Day evokes many an emotion. Anxiety in 4th grade over receiving any valentines from boys to gifting the perfect valentine to your beloved (my personal faves). My beloveds these days are my rescue pups and they are quite easy to please! I love surrounding myself with love so when I saw this heartwarming image, it inspired me to create some new valentine jewelry (that would look good on humans or dogs)!
Here are a few Valentine's tidbits you might enjoy:

• The first heart shaped box of chocolates was sold in 1861 by Cadbury (you know, those yummy delectables). More than 36 million heart shaped boxes of chocolates are sold every year equaling over 58 pounds of chocolate!
• More than 8 billion conversation hearts are manufactured each year by Necco. They produce 100,000 pounds per day year-round to be prepared for each V-day. Even more fascinating is that they have a shelf life of five years, so no hurry on gobbling them up!
• According to Hallmark, 145 V-Day cards are exchanged on February 14th (not including the kid's card exchanges in the classroom). This makes V-Day the 2nd biggest holiday for exchanging greeting cards-Christmas is #1.
• And my fave V-Day trivia is that the V-Day gift folks spend the money on is JEWELRY! According to the National Retail Federation, $5.8 billion was spent in 2020.
