Hi there,
I truly enjoyed Dale “Cougar” Armstrong’s discussion on Amber. I have always loved Amber, and am a fan of Jurasic Park as well, so the information had personal connection for me. Dale is a down to earth speaker who is easy to listen too and obviously a very knowledgable artisan. I will look forward to more videos by Dale on other stones. I would enjoy one on Garnets very much.
Thank YOu,
Sheila Nelson

Dale,
Thanks for the workshop on amber; it’s nice to know that you can learn something new every day
Just to let you know- RBC’s don’t contain a nucleus. They are manufactured in the bone marrow so dino DNA wouldn’t exsist in them.
How about a follow up on psuedo amber? I believe the term is Copal,
but I’m not sure.
Thanks again!

Brilliant video on amber. I was unaware there were so many different types and just loved the one with the bugs frozen in time in it, how historic. Thank you. I live in Australia

Love the Amber tutorial! Dale is a gifted speaker and artisan I am looking forward to meeting in person in a seminar. Wire-sculpture is my favorite site for information and supplier of jewelry components. Great job and keep up the good work!

Great, informative video. Back in the 80’s we had a cultural exchange with friends from Thisted, Denmark (in the Jutland) Our houseguests brought me a necklace of what they called ‘Milk Amber’ which was quite opaque yellow. I kept it in my jewelry box until one day it fell just a few inches onto my dresser & broke. Another Danish friend told me that amber needs to be oiled. Usually if you wear it enough, the oil from your skin will be enough. Someone else told me that I might be able to ‘glue’ it back together by placing it in an oven & heating it but I’ve never had the nerve to do that. Any ideas?
