Tool of the Week for August 5, 2013
This week’s tool: Ring Bending Pliers, #PLR-835.00
Video by Kate, JewelryTools.com
This week’s featured tool from JewelryTools.com is the Ring Bending Pliers PLR-835.00.
This plier is an eminently superior replacement for the three-jawed pliers known as bow-closing pliers which are often used for reshaping rings. This tool however will never scratch a ring since the V-block is nylon and the single jaw is highly polished stainless steel. Length 5-1/4″ (135mm) This great tool is easy to use and great for anyone from beginners to experts! |

This looks like a interesting tool; so I looked up the video -how to use the ring bending pliers, but it didn’t really show anything except the pliers itself. Is there a tutorial or another demo that actually shows how to use the pliers?

I have not used the pliers, however I plan to try them. Looks like what I am needing. Thank you for your tip.

This looks like an interesting tool. I watched the video – how to use the ring bending tool but it didn’t really tell/show how to use it! Is there another video/tutorial demonstrating it’s use?

Thank you for showing us the ring bending pliers. It would have been so beneficial if you had shown us how to use it with wire. We might then consider buying it.

If you had shown it in use, i.e. using a ring to be closed, it would be more informative.

I just getting into this type of thing. I would have like to see this pliers in action, someone demonstrating “how” and “what” it can do.
Thanks,
Kathy

We can see what it looks like, but I agree with everyone else, the video should be more of a tutorial on how the pliers actually work. I’ve seen bracelet bending pliers and other ring bending pliers that are curved nylon on both sides and look pretty self-explanatory, but this one is hard to figure out?? Any jewelry tool video should be a tutorial on how to use the tool, not just a picture of the tool. If you want to sell it, you’ve gotta show us what it can do.
