Question:
Is there anything wrong with using dead soft wire to set a cabochon ?
Answer:
In my opinion, there is nothing `wrong` about using whatever temper of wire the artist decides to use when creating a setting for a cabochon. Most often the size of the stone and the `style` of the desired setting determine both the wire gauge and temper chosen.
