Got cabs – Labradorite, Jasper, Amethyst, stabilized Opal. Got some quartz, amethyst, and rose quartz crystals set in rock. Got lots of great beads and FW pearls. And got some hair hooks to embellish.

Love the fire agate – is it big enough for a pendant?
The pietersite looks like modern art – would love to see it in person.

Nice loot! I love Fox Mine #8 turquoise. It has such a delicate blue color and thin veining–sometimes with metallic copper showing. The dendritic quartz cab is lovely.

I wasn’t able to go to Tucson, but I had a personal shopper, a young Rhodochrosite Miner from Colorado go for me. He also sells rough gemstones, and mineral collectables. He has sold my Brazilian Paraiba Tourmaline rough for 3x what I paid for it in 2007. But he went slab shopping for me as I am new to cabbing, I started wanting to when I got my Jooltool. It does so many wonderful polishing jobs on anything. Then I just ordered a trim saw for the 20 lbs of slabs Dylan got me of Ocean Jasper. He was able to also get me several slabs of each of the following: Mookite, Imperial Jasper, Owhee Jasper, crazy lace from Creede colorado with hematite and silver, and Bumble Bee Jasper. I can’t wait till he gets home in Colorado and ships me my slabs!

What did I get in Tucson? How about 32 pounds of rough blue onyx (from Argentina, mined at 17,000 feet in the Andes). And 40 carcharocles megalodon prehistoric shark teeth. Too bad you don’t have a way to display pictures..I’d show you what these made. For now, you’ll have to make do with the links:
